ABOUT EVELYN

Evelyn LeBel is originally from Middleton, Massachusetts and is following her dream of pursuing a career as a costume designer and wardrobe dresser in the heart of New York City. Recently, Evelyn became a member of Local IATSE 764. Currently, Evelyn is working on Broadway as a swing dresser for both Holiday Inn at the Roundabout Theatre and Something Rotten at the St. James Theatre. She also is on the Holiday Inn day work crew. Previously working at theaters such as North Shore Music Theatre, she learned all the Equity costume rules and how to adjust working with stars in the business. Being very knowledgable in the wardrobe aspect of costuming, Evelyn has assisted several influential costume designers with their shows, including two internships at Boston Children's Theatre. She has also worked as a stitcher on a variety of productions. Along with working in live theatre, she previously was the Costume Shop Manager at Tracy Theater Originals where she was responsible for costuming hundreds of shows nationwide and supervising the day to day running of the costume shop.

With her acceptance to the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2010, she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree  in Production Design (concentration in Costume Design) in the spring of 2014. In addition, Evelyn traveled to London, England with NYU in the summer of 2013 to study Shakespeare Theater and British Art and Architecture. Evelyn's favorite project was her senior project as the sole costume designer for the premiere performance of the multimedia dance production titled, OASIS.
